MUSEO LA TERTULIA
CALI
SOLO SHOW
16.07-06.09.2026
We are pleased to announce 𝘊𝘪𝘶𝘥𝘢𝘥 𝘈𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘰, Carlos Garaicoa’s fifth solo exhibition in Colombia, opening at Museo La Tertulia in Cali.
Curated by Oscar Roldán-Alzate, 𝘊𝘪𝘶𝘥𝘢𝘥 𝘈𝘳𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘰 brings together sculpture, photography, drawing, and installation to reflect on memory, urban transformation, and collective loss. Taking the tragic destruction of the town of Armero as a point of departure, Garaicoa examines the ways architecture and landscapes preserve the traces of history, revealing the complex relationships between place, remembrance, and reconstruction. A catalogue titled Armero will be published on the occasion of the exhibition. More information to come.
This exhibition is supported by the Embassy of Colombia in Spain, the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), the Cultural and Scientific Office of the Embassy of Spain in Colombia, mor charpentier, and Estudio Carlos Garaicoa.
On view from July 16 to September 6, 2026.
